10ο Συνέδριο των Ευρωπαϊκών Μαλακολογικών Εταιριών

Το 10ο Συνέδριο των Ευρωπαϊκών Μαλακολογικών Εταιριών (EUROMAL 2024) είναι εδώ!

Το EUROMAL 2024 θα διεξαχθεί στο Ηράκλειο Κρήτης κατά το διάστημα 16-20 Σεπτεμβρίου 2024 στον χώρο του Πολιτιστικού Συνεδριακού Κέντρου Ηρακλείου. Το συνέδριο συνδιοργανώνεται από το Μουσείο Φυσικής Ιστορίας-Πανεπιστήμιο Κρήτης και την Ελληνική Μαλακολογική Εταιρία.

Στο συνέδριο θα συμμετέχουν επιστήμονες από ελληνικά και ξένα πανεπιστημιακά και ερευνητικά ιδρύματα από όλο τον κόσμο. Σκοπός του συνεδρίου, μεταξύ άλλων, είναι η ανάδειξη των μαλακίων ως ερευνητικό αντικείμενο στην προσπάθειά μας να κατανοήσουμε και να αντιμετωπίσουμε τις αλλαγές που προκαλεί ο άνθρωπός στο περιβάλλον. Κατά τη διάρκεια του συνεδρίου θα παρουσιαστούν ομιλίες και αναρτημένες ανακοινώσεις σχετικές με την ποικιλότητα, την οικολογία, την εξέλιξη, τη συμπεριφορά, τη λειτουργικότητα, τη χρήση και τη διατήρηση αρτίγονων και απολιθωμένων μαλακίων!

  • Diana Delicado (Department of Animal Ecology & Systematics, Justus Liebig University, Germany) – Using integrative phylogenetic approaches for inferring species richness, macroevolution and extinction risk in continental aquatic gastropods
  • Edmund Gittenberger (Naturalis Biodiversity Center, The Netherlands) – Malacological data from the past, some leftovers for Greece
  • Mathias Harzhauser (Natural History Museum Vienna, Austria) – The Miocene roots of the Circum-Mediterranean gastropod diversity – the combined terrestrial and marine record
  • Joris Koene (Amsterdam Institute for Life and Environment, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, The Netherlands) – Socially transferred materials in molluscs
  • Mary Seddon (IUCN SSC Mollusc Specialist Group, Red List Authority Coordinator) – Mainstreaming Mollusc Conservation into Biodiversity Planning
  • Julia Sigwart (Senckenberg Research Institute and Natural History Museum, Germany) – What do whole genomes tell us about molluscan evolution?
