Short CV

Danae Karakasi is a biologist with interest in Environmental and Evolutionary Biology. She got her Bachelor degree in Biology from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in 2015 and her Master`s degree in Environmental Biology from the University of Crete in 2017. Currently, she is working in the Invertebrate Collections of the Natural History Museum of Crete as a Collection Manager.

Her research interest focuses on evolutionary biology and particularly systematics, phylogenetics and biogeography of terrestrial organisms as well as the ecological processes associated. She has participated in 11 research programs and has 5 publications in Scientific Journals and 3 announcements in national/international congresses.
