Students of Departments related to biology, environment, geology, GIS (Biology, Agriculture, Forestry and Environmental and Natural Resource Management, Statistics, etc.) are requested at the Divisions and its laboratory units for cataloging – digitization of the collections of the NHMC-UoC.
It includes, on a case-by-case basis, identification of samples and their processing up to their final storage form, their physical and digital recording and secondary processing elements (e.g. statistical processing, distribution maps, mapping using GIS, etc.).

IEK students specializing in the Custodian of Museums and Archaeological sites to meet the needs of guarding the exhibition space of the museum. The students who undertake to carry out their internship must be consistent in their obligations and fulfill the tasks assigned to them with diligence, responsibility and care (protection of the environment, implementation of preventive measures, safe handling and correct handling of emergencies, communication with the visitors).
A necessary condition for cooperation is a very good knowledge of at least 1 foreign language.
Students from all over the world can follow the work of the museum and the exhibition, participate in its activities and in its scientific departments. The Natural History Museum of Crete and the Museum Exhibition support Internship and Erasmus programs through the University of Crete.
